I haven't heard enough of the Stooges to be able to judge how good they are musically, and I'm not sure I musically understand The Doors. (Does anyone?) So I wouldn't know.
The Doors that I've heard tends towards having instrumental sections that really make me sit up and take notice. I regret to say I can't say the same for anything Mr Pop has been involved in, uh, ever. Except 'Gimme Danger', but we've been through that. :)
