Eurovision and CSI

Last night we invited Peta and Will over for dinner and Eurovision watching at the last minute and had a great night cheering on Finland and Lithuania. Best Eurovision ever. Probably the first one I've watched properly since I was a student actually.
I taped CSI: NY but I pressed the button on the video instead of the remote and it seems not to have liked that. Can anyone lend me a tape of last night's CSI: NY please?
For Peta, the chicken in mango sauce recipe:
CHICKEN IN MANGO SAUCE
Servings 2
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts
2 ripe mangoes, pureed or crushed
1 tsp. dried coriander
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. Worcester sauce
natural yogurt, to taste
sugar, optional
rice for 2
Directions
Fry all of the spices, except for half of the garlic, in a small amount of oil. Drain the mangoes (if necessary) and puree them (or at least crush them a bit). You may want to add some sugar if using fresh mangoes which are not so ripe. Put the mangoes in with the spices, add soy and Worcester sauce, and cook gently for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, dice the chicken and fry until opaque, along with the rest of the garlic. Drain off any excess oil. Add to the mango sauce and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes. Serve over rice with the natural yogurt as an accompaniment.

on 2006-05-21 05:13 pm (UTC)I've never watched a moment of Eurovision in my life until last night. The party I attended also voted for Finland & Lithuania.
(on the logic that if Finland didn't win, Europe deserves to have the Lithuanian entry playing everywhere!)

on 2006-05-21 12:49 pm (UTC)L was going for Lithuania, too. :) I think one of the top moments was at the end, when Finland was going on to perform the winning song, and Terry Wogan just kept laughing. He couldn't even say anything, just kept giggling. That, along with his comment on one of the people announcing the votes (I think Belarus?) by saying "Hello, and how menacing you are". *heh* The guy did look like the baddie in a film.
