Looks like I'm walking to Lewisham to catch the DLR, about 75% of the trains are cancelled. But my, it's pretty!

More of the same here.

My garden's looking very pretty too. I was so excited when I first looked out of the window this morning - there's something about snow which instantly makes me feel about 11 :)

Me too! Every time it snows I take exactly the same photo out of my lounge windows and post to LJ. God, you'd think I was Australian or something, not Scottish born and bred! I called my mum to tell her we had snow down here and she was slightly dismissive of the quantities involved... ;)

Well, yes...(cough) it still amuses me that they would cancel all those trains for an inch or so of snow but it *does* look pretty when there's just enough to cover everything like that. And i'd rather have an inch or two than 10!

I was very excited looking out my window too this morning too. Not quite as excited as the Australian I have staying with me at the moment. She was very excited.

They're cancelling trains, for this? That's pathetic. The kids had the school playground completely clear by the time we got there, and my two made a serious dent on what was in our back garden between breakfast and going out. Unless it's a lot deeper on the other side of the river, it really shouldn't be stopping trains.

I'm glad I'm working at home, though.

It's great snow, too: packs beautifully.

I've lived down here six years and it never fails to amaze me how they can't cope with a dusting of the white stuff. It's an inch deep maximum. Apparently this morning's problems were partly due to a broken down train, but the bus to Lewisham *crawled* along because of the slush.

Took me nearly 90 mins to get in, via bus and DLR. I got really lucky too, with both turning up as I got to the stop/station.

What a gorgeous picture! You really do get some lovely shots from your flat window. :)
