They're cancelling trains, for this? That's pathetic. The kids had the school playground completely clear by the time we got there, and my two made a serious dent on what was in our back garden between breakfast and going out. Unless it's a lot deeper on the other side of the river, it really shouldn't be stopping trains.
I've lived down here six years and it never fails to amaze me how they can't cope with a dusting of the white stuff. It's an inch deep maximum. Apparently this morning's problems were partly due to a broken down train, but the bus to Lewisham *crawled* along because of the slush.
Took me nearly 90 mins to get in, via bus and DLR. I got really lucky too, with both turning up as I got to the stop/station.
